o, your surfing the net and see a security bullitin about a new virus. You say "Oh nuts, this can really f**k up my rig." You go to update your Norton Anti-Virus and it tells you your subsciption has expired. You don't want to pay just for the updates but you have no choice, or do you? Do a full virus scan to make sure that your disk is clean and then uninstall norton completly. Then Reboot and all that crap. Put the Norton CD (came with your system or you bought it) in the drive and reinstall it. Boom, another subscription period. The catch is you have to re-update everything again plus the new updates. If you have broadband, its no biggie. As far as I know, this works on all 2006 and lower norton products. I have been using this method to get new updates for about a year and a half.
